RAYMOND – is hosting a Military Appreciation Day to honor members of the Armed Forces and their families on July 31, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus in Pearl.
is inviting all service members, whether they are inactive, retired or still serving, along with their families.
“We’re planning lots of activities for family fun, plus free popcorn, snow cones and other treats,” said Kathryn Cole, director of Enrollment Services.
A number of military support groups will be on hand, including the Mississippi National Guard Joint Force Headquarters, the Veterans Administration Vet Center, the American Legion, the Marine Corps League, Vietnam Veterans of America and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Additionally, employees, including counselors and financial aid advisers, will be on hand to offer information about their education benefits and using them at , Cole said.
“As our service members return home and seek out new opportunities, is ready to help them with their educational and career goals and enrolling in classes,” Cole said.
