RAYMOND – Four Phi Theta Kappa chapters at ÐÔÀÖÔ° have earned Five-Star Chapter distinctions.

Honored with that distinction at PTK Catalyst, the organization’s international convention held online earlier this month, were:

  • Gamma Lambda chapter, at the Raymond Campus, which also won awards for Distinguished Chapter Hallmark Award and College Project. Also, the chapter was named to the Top 100 Chapters list.
  • Alpha Omicron Omega chapter, at the Rankin Campus
  • Alpha Zeta Omega, at the Jackson Campus-Academic/Technical Center
  • Alpha Beta Xi chapter, at the Utica Campus

The Alpha Omega Chi chapter, at the Vicksburg-Warren Campus, was awarded two-star status at this year’s conference, as was the Alpha Iota Kappa chapter, at the Jackson Campus-Nursing/Allied Health Center.

Five-star status awards are determined by how active chapters are during the year. Each level consists of prescribed activities to build a strong, active chapter taking advantage of all Phi Theta Kappa has to offer.

Advisors honored individually or as a team at the conference were:

  • ÐÔÀÖÔ° President Emeritus Dr. Clyde Muse, who received the Michael Bennett Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Deborah McCollum, Continued Excellence Advisor, Gamma Lambda
  • Beverly Trimble, Continued Excellence Advisor, Alpha Beta Xi
  • Jonathan Townes, Distinguished Administrator Award
  • Dr. Leroy Levy, retired dean for the Jackson Campus-Academic/Technical Center, Distinguished Administrator Award
  • Dr. Phatia McClellan and Christopher Levy, Distinguished Chapter Advisor Team
