RAYMOND – Raymond Campus sophomore Nyla Ross-Griffin, of Chicago, was crowned ÐÔÀÖÔ° Homecoming queen at a masquerade-themed ceremony held at Cain-Cochran Hall Oct. 27.

Ross-Griffin is a graduate of West Aurora High School. A criminal justice major, she serves as a senator in the Student Government Association and plans to enlist in the Army National Guard.

She was crowned by ÐÔÀÖÔ° President Dr. Stephen Vacik and 2019 Homecoming Queen Aarionna Dumas.

The Homecoming Court included sophomore maids Erin Myers, of Jackson, representing the Jackson Campus-Academic/Technical Center, Faith Dillon, of Richland, and Brianna Shaw, of Grenada, both representing the Raymond Campus, Madison Crouch, of Pearl, representing the Rankin Campus, Taylor Harris, of Raymond, representing the Jackson Campus-Nursing/Allied Health Center, Antonnea Cooper, of Vicksburg, representing the Vicksburg-Warren Campus and Victoria Moore, of Raymond, representing Distance Learning.

The freshman maids were Shawntrice Pendleton, of Vicksburg, representing the Vicksburg-Warren Campus; Anna Ball, of Terry, Janessa Kersh, of Byram, and Jamia Davenport, of Canton, all representing the Raymond Campus; Antjuanque Rimmer, of Madison, representing the Rankin Campus and Jada Venney, of El Paso, Texas, representing the Jackson Campus-Academic/Technical Center.

RAYMOND – ÐÔÀÖÔ° Hi-Steppers have been named for 2024-2025.

The group has a new director, Beka King of Pearl. She is only the third director in the 75-year history of the Hi-Steppers. She herself was a Hi-Stepper from 2013-2015 and, during her sophomore year, she was captain of the team.
