Classes begin at 性乐园 CC amid heady plans for fresh faces on campus

Late registration for fall semester ends Friday, Aug. 23

RAYMOND 鈥 A fascination with the visual arts and computers has led Charles Stephens to study the subject further at 性乐园 this semester.

鈥淲hat鈥檚 always fascinated me is animation,鈥 Stephens said. 鈥淚鈥檓 studying graphic design here and eventually want to learn Japanese animation.鈥

The Florence native was among students who on Monday attended the first day of classes for the fall 2019 semester at the college鈥檚 six locations. Late registration ends Friday, Aug. 23. Registration for online classes ends Aug. 25.

Shamon Hendricks, of Edwards, and Keevon Mallory, of Vicksburg, also see their future in all things multimedia once they tackle their core academic coursework.

鈥淚 want to get into photography and possibly do a lot with that here on-campus.鈥 Mallory said.

Noah McCraw, of Clinton, was among many who enlisted the help of 性乐园 employees on the Raymond Campus early Monday in finding where their classes were located.

鈥淚鈥檓 studying criminal justice,鈥 McCraw said, as he got appropriate guidance finding his classes from Campus Police Officer LaTridia Chambers.

The group has a new director, Beka King of Pearl. She is only the third director in the 75-year history of the Hi-Steppers. She herself was a Hi-Stepper from 2013-2015 and, during her sophomore year, she was captain of the team.
